Welcome   Welcome to the Onondaga Central School District. It is our sincere intent that this website will be one of the primary sources to maintain an open line of communication and to share timely information from our school community to you.   The Onondaga Central School District is located 7 miles south of Syracuse in upstate New York nestled in a valley with rural surroundings. The district provides a tranquil environment in a picturesque setting, yet enjoys all the major cultural advantages of an urban area within a 20 minute drive. A staff of 180 full and part-time employees, three academic buildings, a transportation center, and administrative offices commonly serve an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students, Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade.    Please use the tabs on the left to locate any number of resources that contribute to the unique blend of learning experiences and extracurricular activities that exist within the Onondaga Central School District.  Please join the next Booster Club Committee Meeting May 15, 2008 @ 7:00 p.m. - Jr/Sr High School Library May 27, 2008 @ 7:00 p.m. - Jr/Sr High School Library   For more information regarding the Booster Club please visit the PTO web page (tab at right).     The Wheeler School Capital Project bids were opened yesterday afternoon.  The project bids were received within the parameters of our community's project proposition limitations. Bottom line ….. the Wheeler Capital Improvement Project is on! Construction will begin in late May or early June. Thank you to our Board of Education and to all of the individuals and building based project committee members for all that you have done to make this project a reality!
